Job Title:	Senior Software Developer

We’re currently looking for additional experienced developers to help us create systems that remove the language barrier by instantly translating whatever you see, hear, say, read, write or type.

In this position you will be working with other software developers to create the next generation of our Compadre product line. You’ll provide a lead role in this effort: developing budget estimates and development timelines; interfacing with sales and QA to ensure the resulting product is the right product; and coordinating your efforts with other development teams to ensure that a complete instant language translation solution is created.

The ideal candidate will have at the minimum a Bachelor's in Software Engineering or equivalent. Other desired capabilities include:

• Hands-on Microsoft.NET knowledge and a well-rounded background in multiple technologies (e.g., XML, JavaScript, Java, OCR).
• Experience over the entire software development process, including requirements gathering and analysis, design, selection of tools and technologies, release and version control, testing methodologies, and deployment management.
• Capable of rapidly absorbing new SDKs and integrating them into insane applications.
• Creativity, innovation and desire to create "that's amazing" applications are a must.
• Desire to work with other insanely bright people in a small, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to complete technically challenging projects on schedule and within budget.
• Documented personal/professional references substantiating historical performance and achievement.

• Experience in a software startup environment.
• Experience in developing speech-based applications (we do a lot of that around here).
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing, especially as it applies to linguistics.
• The ability to converse in foreign languages is desired, but not required.
• A passion for playing classic pinball machines.
