language, anytime, anywhere. SpeechGear is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sales Pro to join the team
in our Northfield, MN headquarters. If you have a track record of making quota and scoring above your peers, please read on.
In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for driving sales leads, qualifying potential customers
and closing new business. We expect you'll be a key contributor with broad responsibilities – building relationships
with key partner sales teams nationally, developing effective marketing and sales tools to communication our product
line, demonstrating the “how” of our innovative products, and moving customers through the sales process. You will also
work closely with our partners such as Microsoft, and Hewlett-Packard to educate them on our products, secure new leads,
expand opportunities and close deals.

As the ideal candidate for this position, you will possess a keen and natural intuition about the
goals, processes and perspectives of customers. You will have the ability to quickly assess their business requirements
and articulate (with tech savvy) how SpeechGear’s products are a complete solution for their language translation needs.
As the ideal candidate for this position you:
- Have a proven ability to quickly build a rapport with customers and partners over the phone, assess their needs, and effectively apply and communicate the benefits of software solutions to solve their business problems.
- Posses a track record of building a pipeline and successfully closing sales.
- Have prior experience selling earlier stage technologies and experience in developing and conducting successful online (phone/Internet) sales presentations.
- Be an expert on the use of tools such as Webex and PowerPoint.
- Are proficient in managing customer data in a contact management system.
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit as well as the ability to set direction and successfully manage specific goals.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of quota-based sales experience - selling software tools, applications and/or hosting services.
- BS/BA degree Business/Communication major strongly preferred.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to support clients in earlier or later time zones.
- Personal/professional references substantiating historical performance and achievement.
Extra Credit:
- Enterprise level sales experience is preferred.
- Prior experience selling software products is a strong plus.
- Experience in selling through channel partners such as service providers and VAR partners.
- Personal/professional references substantiating historical performance and achievement.
- A passion for playing classic pinball machines.
