August 26, 2009 - Northfield, MN – SpeechGear, Inc., the leading provider of instant language translation products, announced today that their Interact software, which translates conversations, now includes features specifically designed to support Public Safety personnel. An example is Interact's new repeat mode.
“One of the needs expressed by customers in the public safety sector is the ability to have Interact continually repeat a given set of phrases,” said Jeff Lenk, SpeechGear’s Director of Software. “As a result of this customer input, SpeechGear has improved the repeat mode of its Interact product.”
With this feature, you can speak a phrase such as, “This area is not safe, please leave immediately,” and the English and translated versions will be continuously spoken aloud. Combine this capability with SpeechGear's optional bullhorn speaker and the result is a system that goes beyond translating conversations to one that also assists in crowd control for multi-lingual situations
