Instantly Translate Whatever you Read, Write or Type
Document is the tool to use for instantly translating Microsoft Office files such as PowerPoint® presentations or Word® documents. Document resides directly in your Office application, there’s no need to cut and paste text from your application into the translator. Need to quickly translate an entire presentation or document? Just select Document’s “Translate All” feature. Or perhaps you want to perform a more thorough line-by-line review by adding your own vocabulary and translations? Document allows you to easily step through the document by selecting your own pagination preference.
Flexibility
Document automatically retains original formatting of text and graphics within each file. There’s no need to worry about having to continually reformat the translated version to retain the original presentation's layout, as with other comparable systems. Document also provides tools for automatically defining and expanding acronyms that appear within a line of text. After expanding an acronym, you can be sure the translation suggestions will accurately convey the intended meaning of the phrase.
Robustness
Document, along with all of the Compare PD-based products, uses Machine Translation (MT) technology and Translation Memory (TM) databases to handle a large vocabulary of terms. For example, when you insert a new translation into a PowerPoint slide, Document automatically adds the entry to the TM. Whenever you use a similar phrase in the future, Document will identify matching text and include the translation in the list of possible suggestions. Adding translations to the TM improves translation confidence, allowing you to streamline the translation process even further with continued use.
Presentation
Document does more than just provide you with quick and accurate translations. Once you're ready to give your presentation, the included DocumentViewer tool allows you to simultaneously display the original document along with your translated versions. With DocumentViewer there is no longer a need to have multiple LCD projectors or to worry about keeping translated versions synchronized throughout the presentation.
